1 Third-Party AI (OpenRouter) Compliance

Kelis integrates artificial intelligence capabilities through our third-party partner OpenRouter to provide AI-powered pattern recognition, color analysis, and content generation features.

Data Transmission Scope

  1. We clearly distinguish between personal and non-personal data. Only non-facial data necessary for AI functionality is transmitted.
  2. Specific data transmitted includes: nail image data, pattern classification parameters, color and gloss extraction values, and user-generated tags or notes.
  3. No facial data, personal identifiers (name, email, phone), or location data is transmitted to OpenRouter.

Third-Party Disclosure

Our AI service provider is explicitly disclosed as OpenRouter. Users are informed of this partnership before any data transmission occurs.

User Prior Authorization

  1. Before transmitting any data to OpenRouter, Kelis displays a clear consent dialog informing users of the data purpose, receiving party, and specific data types involved.
  2. Users must provide explicit, active consent through a confirmation action before any data transmission begins.
  3. Users may decline AI features without affecting core App functionality.

Third-Party Safeguards

OpenRouter maintains data protection standards equal to or exceeding industry requirements. OpenRouter processes data only for the agreed-upon purposes, retains no user data after processing is complete, and destroys all transmitted data immediately after generating the requested analysis. OpenRouter does not sell, rent, or misuse user data.

No App-Side Storage

Kelis does not store any data transmitted to OpenRouter on our servers or databases. Data is used only during the active processing period and destroyed immediately after the AI feature completes its analysis.

2 Information Collection and Use

Types of Information Collected

  1. User-Uploaded Content: Photos of cat-eye manicures, pattern notes, magnet technique documentation, seasonal and occasion tags, and personal archive entries.
  2. System-Authorized Data: Camera access (for capturing nail images), photo library access (for importing existing images), and microphone access (for recording technique voice notes).
  3. Device Information: Device model, operating system version, App version, and unique device identifiers (for analytics and crash reporting only).
  4. Usage Data: Feature usage patterns, session duration, and interaction data (collected anonymously for service improvement).

3 Information Sharing and Third-Party Processing

Kelis shares your data only with OpenRouter for AI functionality purposes. No other third parties receive your personal or usage data.

Third-Party Processing Rules

  1. Temporary Processing Only: All data shared with OpenRouter is processed temporarily and destroyed immediately after the AI feature completes.
  2. Retention Period: Data is retained only during the active processing period. No copies or backups are maintained by OpenRouter or Kelis.
  3. Security Compliance: All data transmission occurs over encrypted connections (TLS 1.3). OpenRouter adheres to strict security protocols.
  4. No Data Abuse: OpenRouter is contractually prohibited from using transmitted data for training, profiling, or any purpose beyond the specific analysis request.

Data Sales Prohibition: Kelis does not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party. We do not disclose your data to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

4 User Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  1. Right to Access: You may request a copy of all personal data Kelis holds about you.
  2. Right to Correction: You may update or correct inaccurate information through the App's settings or by contacting us.
  3. Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data. Upon request, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  4. Right to Data Portability: You may request export of your nail archive and notes in a commonly used format.
  5. Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent for AI features, camera access, or photo library access at any time through device settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  6. Right to Account Deletion: You may delete your account permanently through App settings. This action removes all your data from our systems.

Kelis is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 6 Policy Update Mechanism
